About Oregon Volunteers in Disaster
The Oregon Volunteers in Disaster platform is brought to you by the OregonServes State Service Commission.
OregonServes is the federally-required state service commission for Oregon. In both state and federal statute, OregonServes is charged with supporting and advancing national service, volunteerism, and civic engagement in local communities and statewide.
Further, OregonServes is a responding partner in the Oregon Department of Emergency Management's Emergency Response Plan for volunteers and donations. In this role, OSC is responsible for resource development and coordination of national service resources and spontaneous volunteer coordination.
The OregonServes Oregon Volunteers in Disaster platform is designed to be used for the management of spontaneous volunteers related to disaster response and recovery opportunities and events. The platform is provided free of charge to increase accessibility for communities and volunteers alike.
