A Functional exercise for Douglas County AUXCOMM team members and CERT Team. This exercise will focus on passing information to the EOC from amateur radio operators and CERT members acting in their community. The scenario simulates an anticipated major winter storm forecasted for Thursday 09/25 lasting through the weekend with anticipated community lifeline failures (with the exercise focusing primarily on communications).
This exercise is intended to test the AUXCOMM team's activation procedures under an "anticipated event", operational coordination, and PACE planning strategies. There will be a net group on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Additionally, on the Friday of the exercise, there will be a warming shelter setup exercise for the Central Douglas CERT Team.
Schedule will be as followed:
First Net Group (pre- incident): Wednesday September 24th 0800
Second Net Group (Incident begins): Thursday September 25th 1400
Final Net Group (Incident worsens): Friday September 26th 0800
