In times of a disaster or emergency, our community will need safe, accessible places to shelter and support impacted individuals and families. The Washington County Emergency Management disaster shelter program is focused on building our local capability to safely and effectively open and manage disaster shelters and other mass care facilities. We will have two info sessions with program updates, including our 2024 disaster shelter training and exercise plan. Both sessions will have the same content; please select whichever works best for your schedule. See attached calendar invites.

Note: The disaster shelter program is managed by Washington County Emergency Management and is separate from the Severe Weather Shelter and Year-Round Shelter program run by Washington County Housing Services.
