Who We Are

The Oregon Department of Human Services works with partners across the state to help people in Oregon during emergencies. When an emergency happens, our role is to help people find food, shelter and meet other basic needs.

What We Do

The Office of Resilience and Emergency Management coordinates this work, including:

Non-medical mass care (food, water, shelter)
Emergency assistance (first aid, distributing supplies)
Assessing human services needs for people who are impacted
Coordinating human services and reducing barriers
Addressing language needs for people with limited English proficiency
